Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager Roy Shivers announced today that Danny Barrett will return as head coach of the Riders. Shivers also announced that defensive coordinator Richie Hall and offensive coordinator Marcel Bellefeuille will also remain with the team in their respective roles. Terms of the contracts were not released.

Danny Barrett is entering his sixth season as head coach of the Riders. Barrett has led the club to the West Final in each of the past two seasons for the first time since 1975 and 1976. Barrett's 39 regular season coaching victories place him fourth on the all-time Rider list behind Eagle Keys, Frank Filchock and John Payne.

Richie Hall is entering his 12th season as a coach with the Riders and his fifth season as defensive coordinator. Last season Hall's defence was second in the CFL in average points per game and led the CFL in quarterback sacks.

Marcel Bellefeuille is back for his fifth season as a Rider coach and his third as offensive coordinator. Bellefeuille was instrumental in an offensive scheme that led the league in net rushing yards and average rushing yards per game.

"I am very pleased to announce that these three coaches will return for another season," said Riders G.M. Roy Shivers. "I have always stated that continuity is very important to a football club and these three men deserve a great deal of credit in the Riders recent success."
