Jacksonville Barracudas News Release
Jacksonville, Fl- On Wednesday, March 12, 2003, the Jacksonville Barracudas will not only play their final home game of the season, but also their final Atlantic Coast Hockey League (ACHL) game ever in the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Next season the Cudas will get a fresh start in Jacksonville's brand new arena.
The 42-year-old Coliseum has been the location of many events in Jacksonville, ranging from hockey to basketball to a variety of concerts. The Barracudas have decided to invite special guest, Elvis, to give a memorable goodbye to their home before it is torn down.
Elvis will sing the national anthem and drop the puck for the Barracudas game against the Macon Trax on Wednesday. The first 1500 fans will receive a souvenir Barracudas towel and everyone will receive a commemorative photo of Elvis dropping the puck.
