
Barracuda Sign Forward Trevor Parkes

SAN JOSE - The San Jose Barracuda (@SJBarracuda) presented by Barracuda Networks and Barracuda General Manager Joe Will officially announced today that the team has signed forward Trevor Parkes (@Tparkes19) to an AHL contract for the 2015-16 season.
The 24-year-old Parkes recorded nine points (3-6=9) and 14 penalty minutes in 20 games with Worcester of the American Hockey League (AHL) last season. Parkes finished with a +8 rating and fired 30 shots on goal in an injury-shortened season in Worcester.
In 136 career AHL games with Grand Rapids and Worcester, Parkes has amassed 35 points (14-21=35) and 99 penalty minutes. In addition Parkes has added 101 points (50-51=101) in 89 ECHL games with Toledo and Greenville.
Before turning pro, the six-foot-two, 200-pound native of Fort Erie, Ontario played two seasons for the Montreal Juniors of the QMJHL (2009-11) where he compiled 109 points (60-49=109) in 126 games.
