The Barons will the third game of the four-game season series on Thursday night. Thus far, the Barons and Rampage have split the first two games, with each team winning a one-goal game. Grant Stevenson has scored two goals against the Rampage this season. Dimitri Patzold earned the Barons victory, only allowing two goals in a 3-2 victory. The Rampage's Joel Kwiatkowski leads the season series with three points (2-1-3). Travis Scott has been in net for the Rampage in both games against the Barons. He has a save percentage of .925 and a 3.02 goals against average. The Barons have averaged 40 shots per game against the Rampage this season.

The Barons are 3-6-0-2 against San Antonio in the Rampages three seasons of existence. The Barons have gained at least one point in five of their last six games against San Antonio (3-1-0-2). Stephen Weiss leads the Rampage with 15 goals and 38 points. His 23 assists are second on the team. Goaltender Travis Scott has appeared in 49 of the Rampage's 65 games this season. He has posted a 16-23-4 record with a 2.45 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Scott's 2,713:31 in net are fifth in the league and his 1,412 saves are tied for first in the league. San Antonio is 2-6-1-1 in their last 10 games while the Barons are 6-3-0-1.

In the only meeting of the season, the Milwaukee Admirals, led by former Barons goalie Seamus Kotyk, defeated Cleveland 4-3 in overtime. Kotyk made 24 saves in the game, earning his first win as an Admiral. In just 17 appearances this season, Kotyk is 8-5-0 with a 2.93 goals against average and a .891 save percentage. Brian Finley is their main cog in net. He is third in the league with 28 wins, second in the league in minutes with 2,800:21, and 11th with a .924 save percentage. Milwaukee currently holds a four-point lead in the West Division with a record of 37-18-3-4.
Flashback
3/1/05 Cleveland 3 â Edmonton 2... The Barons defeated the Road Runners for the third time in four nights on Tuesday. Nolan Schaefer appeared in his third consecutive game earning the victory. Patrick Rissmiller figured in every Barons goal, scoring two and assisting on one. Riley Armstrong netted the game-winner, the first of his career, as he posted his first career multi-point game (1-1-2). The victory was the Barons first of the season when trailing after two periods.
3/4/05 Cleveland 2 â Hamilton 1... Nolan Schaefer earned his fourth consecutive win by stopping 26 Hamilton shots. Jim Fahey scored the game-winning goal as he was sprung on a breakaway during a 4-on-3 Hamilton power play. The short-handed goal, his first of the season, proved to be his third game-winner of the season. The Barons scored the first goal of the game on an Aaron Gill short-handed strike.
3/5/05 Hamilton 5 â Cleveland 4... The Barons let a 2-0 first period lead slip as they fell to the Bulldogs. Ryane Clowe (2-0-2), Christian Ehrhoff (1-1-2), and Shane Joseph (0-2-2) all posted multi-point games. Marcel Goc recorded an assist to extend his streak to six consecutive games with a helper. The Bulldogs trumped the Barons three two-point scores with three three-point scorers. Tomas Plekanec (0-3-3), Chris Higgins (2-1-3), and Ron Hainsey (1-2-3) all posted three point nights for the Bulldogs. With the win, Hamilton won the season series. The Barons posted a 3-5-0-0 record against Hamilton on the year.

Clip Carkner's Curls For Cancer
The Barons are launched the Clip Carkner's Curls For Cancer campaign on Saturday. Fans can purchase raffle tickets in the concourse for a chance to win 4 glass seats to the game on March 26th and a chance to shave Matt Carkner's head following that game on center ice. All the proceeds raised will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Barons will draw the winner during the third period of the March 19th game.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Night...
The Cleveland Barons are raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on the March 19th game against Cincinnati. By calling Tom Holy at 216-420-0000 and purchasing a $21 lower bowl seat, $11 will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In February of 2003, it was discovered that Brad Holy, brother of Public Relations Coordinator Tom, had acquired a form of Leukemia. Since the diagnosis, Brad's Leukemia entered remission before becoming active again just two months ago. The disease was put into remission by Gleevec, a cancer-fighting drug that was researched and developed by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. To aid in the fund-raising, the Barons will also donate the proceeds from Clip Carkner's Curls for Cancer to the cause.
Barons Dozen
The Barons have gained at least one point in nine out of their last 12 games (8-3-0-1). The Barons have sandwiched their two four-game winning streaks with two regulation losses and a shootout loss. The Barons have seven one-goal wins during that stretch of games.
Goal Oriented
The Barons have scored 31 goals in the last 10 games. That is good for a per-game average of 3.10 goals. During that span, the Barons are 6-3-0-1. Cleveland has a 17.9% power play percentage (10-56) during that span, including three games with multi power play goal performances.
Rubbermaid Player of the Game
At the end of each game the Barons select a Rubbermaid Player of the Game, given to the player who displays toughness and durability throughout the game. At the end of the season, the player with the most selections will receive a prize package courtesy of Rubbermaid. Currently, Josh Gorges leads the race for the Rubbermaid with seven selections and Ryane Clowe is second with six picks. Doug Murray stands in third with five Rubbermaid Player of the Game selections.
Oh My Goc!
Marcel Goc has recorded an assist in six consecutive games, breaking the Barons franchise record. Brandon Smith (11/14/01 â 11/28/01), Ryan Kraft (1/16/02 â 1/24/02), and Patrick Rissmiller (1/10/03 â 1/22/03) have each had five consecutive games with an assist in the Barons franchise history. It is the second-longest active assist streak in the AHL and is tied for the league's third-longest active point streak.
United Marcel Service
The United Marcel Service has been delivering lately. Marcel Goc has delivered 17 assists to teammates in the last 20 games. Overall, he has 21 points (4-17-21) during that span. On the season, Goc has exceeded his rookie-campaign output with 39 points (12-27-38). His 39 points and 27 assists are second on the team and his 12 goals are third. He is tied for fifth in the league with three short-handed goals, which are all unassisted.
Barons Player of the Week
The Cleveland Barons Player of the Week is center Patrick Rissmiller. On the week, Rissmiller totaled 4 points (2-2-4) in three games. On Tuesday night against Edmonton, he figured in the scoring of all three Barons goals with 2 tallies and one assist.
Making Teams Risserable
Patrick Rissmiller has recorded at least one point in five of the last six games (2-5-7). Since returning to the lineup 10 games ago, Rissmiller has totaled four goals and five assists as the Barons have gone 6-3-0-1. Rissmiller recorded his fourth multi-goal game of the season on Tuesday, which is tied for the team lead. His three-point (2-1-3) performance on Tuesday was a season high. His 17 goals and seven power play goals are second on the team, and his 33 points are third. Rissmiller ranks second in goals (45), assists (73) and points (118) in Barons franchise history. With 197 games played, Rissmiller passed Miroslav Zalesak (196) on the Barons all-time list for second place in games played on Saturday.
The Clowe-ser
Ryane Clowe has scored the Barons first goal in four out of the last seven games. Two of the goals were the first between either team. Clowe leads the Barons by scoring the game's first goal six times. In the last 16 games, Clowe owns 11 goals and 8 assists (11-8-18). Clowe leads the Barons with 13 multi-point games on the season. His 50 points, 20 goals, 30 assists, and +13 plus/minus rating all lead the Barons. Clowe has been productive on the power play as he leads the team with 11 goals and 18 points.
Ryane's Song
Ryane Clowe led the AHL with 15 points (7-8-15) in February. The 15 points just edged four other players who posted 14 points for the month of February. Clowe accomplished the 15 points in just 11 games, and earned the Vector/CCM AHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 13th.
Air Ehrhoff
Christian Ehrhoff, the Barons All-Star representative, is tied for 15th among all AHL defensemen with 29 points (10-19-29). Among defensive scorers, he is tied for seventh in goals (10), tied for fourth in power play goals (6), and tied for fifth in game-winning goals (3). Ehrhoff's 190 shots lead all defensemen and are 13th among all skaters. Ehrhoff leads all Barons defensemen in points, goals, and assists. His 15 points on the power play (6-9-15) are fourth on the team.
According To Jim
Defenseman Jim Fahey has recorded one point in five of the last seven games (2-4-6). Fahey has scored the deciding goal in two of the last four Barons victories. Three of Fahey's four goals this season have gone for game-winners. His 18 assists and 21 points are second on the team among defensemen.
The Only Nolan
Nolan Schaefer tied Miikka Kiprusoff by leading the Barons to a four-game winning streak. Kiprusoff back-stopped the Barons to a four-game win streak in the team's history from November 20th â November 24th, 2001. During those four wins, Schaefer recorded a 2.00 goals against average (8 GA â 239:47) and a .929 save percentage (105/113). The native of Yellow Grass Saskatchewan has won six of his last eight games (6-2-0). In that span he has a .912 save percentage (206/226) and a 2.52 goals against average (20 GA â 475:49).
Generous Grant
Grant Stevenson has posted eight points in the last eight games (1-7-8). Those eight contests include three multi-point games for the Alberta native. Stevenson is again making a late point push. Over the last 18 games, he owns 13 (3-10-13) of his season's 26 points. Stevenson produced 16 of his 39 points during the 2003-04 season over the last 14 games of the season. Stevenson is currently fifth on the Barons with his 26 points and tied for third with his 19 assists.
Gorgeous Gorges
Josh Gorges has recorded at least one point in five out of the last nine games (2-3-5). Gorges was nominated as the Rookie of the Month for February. Gorges led all Barons defensemen with a +5 plus/minus rating in 11 games during the month.
Strapping On The Boots
Barons forward Nick Bootland's next goal will give him his 100th regular season goal as a professional. Entering tonight, Bootland has 28 goals at the AHL level, 44 goals at the ECHL level, and 27 goals at the UHL level. This is Bootland's seventh season as a professional.
GPS A Teammate Finder
Garrett P. Stafford tied Jeff Nelson for seventh on the Barons all-time assist list. Stafford owns 48 assists in just less than two seasons with the Barons. On Saturday, Stafford had 3,000 bobbleheads in his likeness distributed to fans entering the game. Stafford impressed assisting on one goal and totaling a season-high +3 plus/minus rating.
The Life of Riley
Not only did Riley Armstrong score the first game-winning goal of his professional career on Tuesday, he also recorded a point in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. In the last four games, Armstrong has one goal and two assists.
No Joshing
On the season, Josh Prudden leads Barons rookies in goals with 11, which ranks tied for fourth overall on the team. Prudden's four game-winning goals lead the team and his three unassisted goals are tied for the team lead. He is tied for 14th overall in goals among rookie scorers. Prudden's 17 points are second on the Barons in rookie scoring.
Hoffman, The Graduate
Mike Hoffman has recorded two assists, 24 penalty minutes, and a +1 plus/minus rating in his last five games. All five of Hoffman's assists this season have come in a Barons victory (5-0-0-0). Hoffman is ninth among AHL rookies with 153 penalty minutes and is tied for third among rookies with 21 major penalties.
