BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Birmingham Barons rallied from an early 4-1 deficit to beat the Mobile BayBears 9-7 in front of 3,533 fans on Thursday evening at the Hoover Met. The win gives the Barons a 2-1 series lead heading into the series finale tomorrow night and keeps Birmingham 1/2 game behind division leading Huntsville.

Mobile got to starter Byeong An early with a run in the first and three more in the third with the big blow coming on a two-run double by Bobby Scales in the third. An (4-2) weathered the storm and kept the team in the game by tossing 6.2 innings giving up six runs on nine hits while striking out five. His effort paid off as the Barons' bats maintained their torrid pace and pushed across nine runs to give An his fourth win.
