Barons Reschedule Suspended Game

HOOVER, AL - The suspended game between the Birmingham Barons and the Mississippi Braves from June 27 will be resumed on Friday, July 10.

The contest will resume at 5 PM with the Barons batting in the top of the third inning and leading the Braves by a score of 3-1. The originally scheduled game will be played 30-minutes after the conclusion of the suspended game. It will be a seven-inning contest.

The gates to Regions Park will open at 4:15 PM for the two games.

The 2009 Southern League All-Star Game will be played on Monday, July 13 at Regions Park in Birmingham, Ala. Tickets to the 2009 Southern League All-Star Game as well as to the 2009 Southern League Home Run Derby and Celebrity Softball Game are available online at barons.com or by calling the Regions Park Box Office. Tickets for both events can also be purchased by visiting the Regions Park Box Office.

The Barons won the South Division First-Half Title and will open the playoffs on Thursday, September 10 at Regions Park. Game two will be played Friday, September 11 at Regions Park.
