BIRMINGHAM, AL â The Birmingham Barons have released their 2005 regular season schedule and are working hard to make the playoffs an unprecedented sixth straight season. All the exciting action on the field will be matched off the field by another year of exciting promotions.
As before, the 2005 season will feature many of our most popular and exciting promotional nights. Included in these are; 25¢ hot dogs on Tuesdays, $1.00 beverages on Thursday and a spectacular fireworks show after the game on Fridays. Combine all these special nights with fantastic entertainers and fun giveaways throughout the season and Barons baseball continues to be the best and most affordable family entertainment around.
The Barons baseball season kicks off with a seven-game road trip to Jacksonville and Carolina from April 7th through the 13th before the home opener on April 15th versus the Montgomery Biscuits. The Biscuits will be in for three games before Jacksonville comes into town for a four-game set from April 18th to 21st to finish off the home stand.
Other highlights of the season include the Fourth of July weekend extravaganza at the Met as the Barons take on the Biscuits on Friday, July 1st through Sunday, July 3rd. Each night will be capped off with a huge firework display that is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family. This season will also feature the 10th annual Rickwood Classic on Thursday, June 2nd as well as the 8th annual Skyfest Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday, August 13th.
