BIRMINGHAM, AL â Individual game tickets for all of the Birmingham Barons home games go on sale Wednesday, March 23rd at 9 am. Box seats are $8.00 and general admission seats are $6.00 and season ticket packages start as low as $40. New for this season, the Barons will also offer a limited number of corporate box seats directly over the Barons dugout with waitress service for $10.00 per seat. Tickets can be purchased at the Barons box office, located at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium at 100 Ben Chapman Drive in Hoover, or can be ordered by phone at (205) 988-3200 or online at www.barons.com. Ticket office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Fans can purchase tickets online at any time. There are no service charges on telephone orders for will call tickets.
Fans are also reminded that both full and mini-season ticket packages are still available. For further details, fans can call the Barons office.
The Birmingham Barons open the 2005 campaign on the road on Thursday, April 7th at 6:00 PM versus the Jacksonville Suns as they begin a seven-game road trip. The home opener is Friday, April 15th at 7:00 PM versus the Montgomery Biscuits. Second-year manager Razor Shines will seek to lead the Barons to an unprecedented sixth straight trip to the Southern League playoffs. In his 26 years in baseball, Shines has won 11 championships (9 as a player and 2 as a manager).
Along with championship caliber action on the field, the Barons have put together one of the most exciting promotional schedules to date. This year will feature traditional Barons weekly specials like Tuesday 25¢ hot dogs, Thursday $1 beverages and 20¢ wings and Friday Fireworks
On top of all this, there will also be special events and giveaways like the 10th Annual Rickwood Classic on June 2nd, the 8th Annual Skyfest Pyrotechnic Spectacular on August 8th, Mike Cameron figurine giveaway on April 29th, Independence Weekend Extravaganza July 1-3, Used Car Night July 9th and much more.
