Barons Hosting Hockey Fest August 23

The Cleveland Barons are hosting the inaugural "Barons Hockey Fest" on Saturday, August 23 from 12pm-6pm at IceLand USA in Strongsville. The interactive event will celebrate hockey in Northeast Ohio.

Featured players in attendance include current Barons players Niko Dimitrakos, Lynn Loyns, Robert Mulick and Yuri Moscevsky, former Barons Bill Needham and Ian Cushenan, former Crusader Bob Whidden and ex-Lumberjacks players Rick Hayward, Jeff Christian, Chris Longo and Perry Ganchar. The alumni players will skate in a "Cleveland Legends Hockey Game" scheduled for a 2:30pm start.

Joining the celebration of ice hockey in Cleveland will be Parma, Ohio native Brian Holzinger. The Pittsburgh Penguin forward is a former Hobey Baker (1995) winner at Bowling Green State University and is an eight-year NHL veteran.

There will be raffles and prize giveaways as well as a variety of interactive zone. Tickets for the Barons Hockey Fest will be $2 for adults, $1 for children and seniors, and free for both USA Hockey members and Barons season ticket holders. 2003 Barons Hockey Fest Itinerary
