BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Biscuits (70-69, 33-36) could not slow down Trayce Thompson who hit two home runs in a 7-1 win for the Birmingham Barons (77-62, 33-36) Sunday afternoon at Regions Field.

Thompson's first blow came in the third inning when he blasted a ball off the scoreboard in left to make it a 3-1 game. The White sox-prospect then launched a two-run homer to left-center in the seventh inning to make it a 7-1 game. Thompson finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored.

The Biscuits' only run came in the third inning. Shawn O'Malley belted a ball into the wind in left that ended up bouncing off the fence for an RBI-double. At the time Montgomery only trailed by one, but the Barons scored the final five runs of the game to pull away.

The Barons scored two runs in the first and two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a Dan Black double.
