
Barnstormers to hold national anthem auditions April 16

The Lancaster Barnstormers Baseball Club, Lancaster's new professional baseball team, will hold an audition for inaugural season Star Spangled Banner singers on Saturday, April 16, beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Long's Park.
Interested musicians must pre-register for the auditions at www.lancasterbarnstormers.com, or by calling 717-509-HITS. Check in for auditions will begin at 7:30 a.m. and concludes at 11:00 a.m. The order of auditions will be determined based on arrival time the morning of April 16, and auditions will continue until all registered participants have had the opportunity to perform.
The Barnstormers promotional staff is looking to fill its entire schedule of 70 home dates with live anthem singers and performers during the inaugural season.
"The National Anthem is an integral part of every baseball game and we look forward to giving everyone a chance to display their patriotism," Barnstormers General Manager Joe Pinto said.
The auditions are open to all interested individuals of any age, and those who pass the auditions will be notified and scheduled at a later date. There will be no musical accompaniment during auditions and lyric sheets will not be permitted.

The Barnstormers are scheduled to open their inaugural home season on May 11 at Clipper Magazine Stadium against the Atlantic City Surf. Ticket packages for the upcoming season are now available and can be purchased by calling 509-HITS, or by visiting the Barnstormers new and improved website at www.lancasterbarnstormers.com. Individual game tickets will go on sale beginning April 23.
