Iowa Barnstormers News Release

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers 9 year drought without a home playoff game comes to an end tonight, when the Midwest Division Champions host the Manchester Wolves in the first round of the 2009 ArenaCup playoffs. Iowa (12-4) enters the game on a 5-game winning streak, and is the #2 seed in the American Conference. Manchester (7-9) is the #7 seed in the American Conference. Kick-off for tonight's game is scheduled for 7:05pm at Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield Field.

Tickets for tonight's game have been selling well, however good seats still remain at all price levels, and will continue to be on sale through game-time. As an added perk, the first 5,000 fans through the gates tonight will receive a FREE limited edition playoff rally towel, courtesy of Toyota of Des Moines. The festivities begin with our pre-game tailgate party beginning at 4:30pm in the Iowa Hall of Pride parking lot, located South of Hy-Vee Hall. Tonight's tailgate features live music by local artists "35 South" courtesy of Pizza Ranch.
