Barnstormers Smith, Gregory Finalists for af2 Asst. Coach / Coach of the Year Honors

The Iowa Barnstormers are pleased to announce that Head Coach John Gregory has been named as a finalist for the Sportexe af2 Head Coach of the Year award. In addition, Assistant Coach J.T. Smith has been named a finalist for the SFC af2 Assistant Coach of the year. Winners of both awards will be announced via an af2 press release at 1 PM CT tomorrow. Gregory and Smith have just completed their second season's in their current roles with the Barnstormers. They took an expansion team that went 6-10 in 2008 and turned it into one of the af2's top teams in 2009, winning the af2's Midwest Division Championship and finishing with a 13-5 record (12-4 regular season, 1-1 playoffs).
