DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers 2012 roster continued to take shape Thursday as Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced that the team has agreed to terms with rookie Running Back / Wide Receiver Donald Babers.

Babers (5-10, 195) joins Iowa after four standout seasons at Prairie View A&M from 2007-10. In 39 career games with the Panthers, Babers rushed for 3,404 yards and 35 touchdowns, along with catching 92 passes for 748 yards and 2 scores. He was named to the All-SWAC pre-season first team in both 2009 and 2010.

"Donald Babers is one of the most elusive players I have seen on film in a long time. His skill set is ideal for the Arena game, and I'm looking forward to working with him on the field this spring", stated Hohensee.

A native of Houston, TX, Babers will be among a group of 35 players that report to the Barnstormers training camp this February to compete for a spot with the club. He is officially the 19th player under contract with the Barnstormers for the 2012 season. 2012 Iowa Barnstormers season tickets remain on sale for as low as $117.00 per seat. Holiday Packages are also now on sale for the sports fanatic on your wish list. Call 515-633-2255 or visit www.theiowabarnstormers.com for more information.
