Barnstormers Add Center to Roster

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Mike Hohensee announced Tuesday afternoon that the AFL franchise has been assigned center Xavier Manuel for the 2012 season. Manuel becomes the 25th player invited to the Barnstormers 2012 training camp that begins next month.
Manuel (6-1) 305 has spent the last two seasons as the starting center for the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League. Prior to that, Manuel played college football at Alabama A&M from 2006-09. The Vinegar Bend, AL native was named to the pre-season all-SWAC first team prior to his senior season in 2009.
The Barnstormers 2012 season is rapidly approaching. Training camp is set to begin on February 18th with the home opener set for March 17th vs. the Utah Blaze. 2012 Iowa Barnstormers season tickets remain on sale for as low as $117.00 per seat.
