
Bannister Named NAHL's East Division's Second Star of the Week; Takacs Is Honorable Mention

The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending September 26 and Titans forward Tommy Bannister was named the East Division's second star of the week while goaltender Andrew Takacs was named honorable mention.
Bannister had four points (3 goals and 1 assists) for the Red Buckets during this past weekend's sweep of the Jamestown Rebels. Bannister scored two goals in Friday's 4 - 2 win, and he had a goal in Saturday's come-from-behind 4 - 3 shootout victory.
The Clayton, NY native is tied for most points (eight) on the team. He has five goals and three assists in eight games.
Takacs joined the team last week and was immediately thrown into the fire. He played the entire game in Friday's victory, and he came in relief in Saturday's shootout victory. Between the two games, the veteran netminder from Bowie, MD had a 1.15 goals against average and .953 save percentage.
