As a member of the University of Michigan softball team, Chidester garnered a pair of Big Ten Player of the Year awards and earned NFCA All-America recognition twice. At the conclusion of her historic career in Ann Arbor, the Allen Park, Michigan, product ranked second in team history in RBI (200) and grand slams (five) and inside the top 10 in four additional offensive categories.
