"We are ecstatic about bringing a world-class player in Amanda to Rosemont," Bandits general manager Toni Calmeyn said. "Her offensive prowess and steadiness defensively will have an immediate impact on our team."
Across her seven seasons of international competition with Team USA, Chidester earned gold medals at the World Cup of Softball in 2012 and 2015, 2013 Mayor's Cup, 2016 WBSC Women's World Championship and the 2017 Pan American Championship. As a member of the University of Michigan softball team, Chidester garnered a pair of Big Ten Player of the Year awards and earned NFCA All-America recognition twice. At the conclusion of her historic career in Ann Arbor, the Allen Park, Michigan, product ranked second in team history in RBI (200) and grand slams (five) and inside the top 10 in four additional offensive categories.
