Bandits Promote Skirha to Assistant GM

ROSEMONT - The Chicago Bandits have named director of operations and promotions Jourdan Skirha as the team's new assistant general manager, team officials announced Friday morning.

Skirha, who has served as the director of operations and promotions since 2017, will assume assistant GM responsibilities from Frank Cargola.

"I'm very grateful for the opportunity from the Village of Rosemont and the Chicago Bandits, and I'm so excited for what's to come," Skirha said. "It's very nice to put a lot of years of work into this and see it at this stage in the game."

Skirha has worked in the Bandits organization since 2014. Beginning as a summer intern, she gradually gained more responsibility as her role in the operations department expanded each season.

After the conclusion of the 2017 campaign, the Bandits hired Skirha as the full-time director of operations and promotions.

"Jourdan has proven that she is more than capable of fulfilling the duties of Bandits assistant GM," general manager Toni Calmeyn said. "She possesses ample experience, an outstanding work ethic and a passion for broadening the reach of our organization and growing our league. We are very excited to see what Jourdan brings to her new role."

As a member of the Drexel University softball team from 2013-17, Skirha garnered recognition as a two-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Award winner. She also delivered a pinch-hit, walk-off grand slam during her senior season to lift the Dragons over Delaware in a game April 1, 2017.

Skirha earned a degree in sport management from Drexel and won the 2017 Cooperative Education Award for her co-op experience with the Bandits.
