
Bandits Announce Inaugural Teacher of the Year Award

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The Chicago Bandits announced today their plans for the inaugural Teacher of the Year award sponsored by TransNational Bankcard.
The nomination process will run through the remainder of the 2015 school year, beginning immediately, and will provide a local teacher the opportunity to be recognized for their dedication to their students and community.
Students, parents, fellow teachers and administrators can nominate a teacher from their school or community for the award. Nominations must be submitted by Monday, June 1 in order to be considered for the award. Nominations will be voted upon by the Bandits and TransNational staff members, with one winner being selected.
Teachers should be nominated for the award based on their accomplishments in the classroom and in the community.
The Teacher of the Year award winner will be featured on the Bandits social media pages, as well as the home page of the Bandits website. The award winner will also be recognized on the field before the Bandits host the Akron Racers on Academic Night, Saturday, June 6 at 7:35 p.m.
In addition to partnering with the Bandits on the Teacher of the Year award, TransNational is also the sponsor for the Scholar Athlete of the Week program which awards an exceptional student athlete with a $1,000 scholarship, as well as a primary sponsor of the team's reading program, which has amassed more than 3,000 students for the 2015 season.
