
Baltimore Trades Michael Howley in Three-Team Deal

TOWSON, Md. - The defending Major League Lacrosse champion Baltimore Bayhawks have traded midfielder Michael Howley to the Long Island Lizards as part of a three-team trade, it has been announced by Baltimore Coach Scott Hiller.
As part of the deal, the Bayhawks acquire a third round pick in next year's Collegiate Draft from the Chicago Machine and a fifth round pick in next year's Collegiate Draft from the Lizards. Long Island also acquired goalkeeper Nick Murtha as part of the deal while the Machine received defenseman Jake Deane.
Howley, who was acquired by the Bayhawks in a six-team trade on April 21, played in six games for Baltimore. He recorded his lone point of the year on an assist in Baltimore's 22-15 loss at New Jersey on June 11. He played the previous three seasons in Rochester and was named to the 2005 MLL All-Star Showdown.
Now 3-5 on the season, the Bayhawks return to action on Saturday, July 22 against the New Jersey Pride at Johnny Unitas Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 866-99-HAWKS or by visiting www.baltimorebayhawks.com.
