Baltimore Blast to Open Season October 11 on New Radio Station

Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Blast announced today that all 2003-2004 Blast games will be broadcast live on WCBM AM 680. WCBM broadcasted the Blast games during the 1999-2000 and 2000-01 seasons and returns this year for a third season as the radio home of the Baltimore Blast.

"We are happy to be associated with WCBM because of their increased listening area which will benefit our fans," said Blast Owner Ed Hale. "We have had a great long-standing relationship with WCBM and look forward to working closely with them again."

In addition to being the home of the Baltimore Blast, the 5,000-watt WCBM has a weekday broadcast that includes Sean and Frank, Tom Marr, G.Gordon Liddy, Sean Hannity, the Evening Magazine, Les Kinsolving and the Savage Nation with Mike Savage.

Art Sinclair, the Sports Director at WCBM, will return for another season as the play-by-play announcer for the Blast. Due to other on-air obligations, Paul Mittermeier will not re-join the Blast radio team as the color analyst. The new color analyst will be announced soon.

The Blast will begin its title defense on Saturday, October 11 against the Philadelphia KiXX at 1st Mariner Arena. Opening night of the 2003-04 season will include Baltimore's 2003 pregame championship celebration and halftime mascot game.
