Ballpark Concert Series and Other Entertainment Announced for 2018

GENEVA, Ill. - The Kane County Cougars have announced the lineup for the 2018 Ballpark Concert Series as well as the entertainment and character appearances that will delight fans throughout select games during the upcoming season. Last week the team announced their weekly specials in advance of single-game tickets going on sale Wednesday, March 1 at 10 a.m.
Ballpark concerts take place before each Saturday evening game beginning June 16 including an additional concert on Tuesday, July 3. Fans with a ticket for that night's game can enjoy live music in the Music Garden, presented by the Acres Group. Each of the below concert dates will also include a post-game fireworks show.
June 16 - Opening up the Ballpark Concert Series on First Responders Night will be The Voices, the #1 Motown and R&B vocal group in the Midwest, performing covers of legendary artists such as The Temptations, Smokey Robinson & the Miracles as well as Luther Vandross, Barry White and Marvin Gaye. Take a walk down memory lane to the sounds of some your favorite songs from the 70's 80's and 90's. ZOOperstars! will also provide in-game entertainment with their hilarious antics.
June 30 - Mr. Myers Band brings their mix of Buffett/beach music to the ballpark in celebration of Margaritaville Night at the Park, presented by Glenmark.
July 3 - Back Country Roads returns to the Music Garden stage for the second consecutive year to kick off our Independence Day celebration. Based out of DeKalb, Ill. the group plays Top 40 Country hits along with country classics.
July 7 - Prior to the annual Military Appreciation Night, Elevation, The Greatest U2 Tribute Band on the Planet, will perform songs from the catalog of U2 hits through the years.
July 21 - Beatles tribute band and fan favorite, American English, will take the stage in their vintage outfits and instruments, providing the full Beatles experience. The always hilarious ZOOperstars! return for another round of outrageous antics.
August 11 - Mariachi Michoacana will showcase the history of mariachi music and the culture of Mexico as we celebrate Es Divertido Ser Un Fan (EDSUF) weekend at the ballpark.
August 18 - Hi Infidelity returns with their covers of hits from the 80's while fans will be treated to special in-game appearances from Captain America and Iron Man © 2018 Marvel Characters, Inc. All rights reserved.
September 1 - Hey Jimmy rounds out the concert series on Labor Day weekend with their mix of pop, rock and dance covers that makes them the most in demand band for events across the Midwest. Members of the Midwest Garrison, a chapter of the 501st Legion, the world's largest Star Wars costuming group, will appear throughout the game.
