Saskatoon, SK - Saturday night at the SaskTel Centre, the Saskatchewan Rush weren't able to overcome an early deficit as the Vancouver Warriors handed them their first home loss of the season, 16-12 the final score.

Former Rush netminder Aaron Bold made 51 saves for the opponents in the contest. Keegan Bal had 11 points for the Warriors, with Ryan Keenan leading the way for the Rush with five points.

Rookie Ryan Barnable scored 1:37 into his first NLL game and led the team with three caused turnovers, while Austin Madronic had a hat trick to hit the ten goal mark on the season.

Mark Matthews had three goals and Marty Dinsdale scored twice in the losing effort. Saskatchewan outshot Vancouver 63-47 on Co-op Field, with the Rush powerplay going 3/5 and the penalty kill 1/3.

Saskatchewan's goaltenders we're unable to match Bold throughout the evening, with Alex Buque allowing 10 goals on 27 shots and Eric Penney allowing six goals on 20 shots.

Next up, the 5-4 Saskatchewan Rush will head to Texas to take on the 6-5 Panther City Lacrosse Club on Saturday, March 4th.
