Bakersfield Wins Fourth Straight in Victory Over Legends

Bakersfield, CA (February 12, 2011) - The Texas Legends dropped their third straight game on Saturday night after falling 129-90 to the Bakersfield Jam at the Jam Events Center.

The Legends kept it close in the opening quarter, as they went into the second trailing by just three. With Texas down by four in the second quarter, Bakersfield went on a 13-2 run to extend their lead up to 15. The Jam took a 58-44 lead into the half.

Antonio Daniels scored 15 of his 16 points in the first half for Texas, while Bakersfield's Drew Naymick completed a first half double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the opening half.

The Jam would use a 17-7 run in the third quarter to help blow the game open in the second half, as they outscored the Legends 71-46 in the final half to secure their second straight win over Texas.

After being held scoreless in the first half, Joe Alexander ended up leading the Legends with 23 points. For the first time all season Justin Dentmon was held to single-digits as he scored just seven points in the loss.

Los Angeles Clippers assignee Willie Warren led seven double-digit scorers for Bakersfield with 25, while Naymick finished with 14 points and 14 boards.

The Legends fell to 16-17 on the season after the loss, while the Jam improved to 20-12.

Texas will finish their three game series with the Jam on Monday night with a 9:00 p.m. tip-off time.
