
Bakersfield reacquires Collins

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., December 5, 2006 - The Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League has reacquired guard Brian Collins and waived guard Tim Barnes.
Collins, 6-4, 175, from Belmont College, was selected by Bakersfield in the sixth round (62nd overall) of the 2006 D-League Draft, but was waived by the Jam on November 22. He finished his 119-game collegiate career as the all-time leader in assists (452) and steals (178). His 1,199 career points are fifth all-time at Belmont.
Barnes played in and started five games for Bakersfield (1-4), averaging 24.8 minutes, 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
