Bakersfield Acquires Vanderbeken

BAKERSFIELD, January 23, 2012 - The Bakersfield Jam have acquired forward/center Jamie Vanderbeken, the team announced today.
Most recently, Vanderbeken played overseas in Greece. During his senior year at Iowa State, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 29 games. Vanderbeken was a member of the Canadian National Team in 2011.
Vanderbeken will make his Bakersfield debut this Thursday against the visiting Los Angeles D-Fenders.
To make room on the roster, the Jam waived guard Jeremy Hazell due to personal reasons.
