OMAHA, NE. - The Omaha Lancers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) have announced the acquisition of a 2024 5th round, phase I draft pick and a 2025 3rd round, phase II draft pick from the Green Bay Gamblers in exchange for Defenseman, Luke Baker and a 2024 10th round, phase I draft pick.
Luke Baker (2005), of Howell, Michigan will be heading to the eastern conference after playing 54 total games in a Lancers' uniform.
Making his USHL debut on April 7th, 2022, in a 5-1 victory on home ice against the Des Moines Buccaneers, Baker picked up his lone point of the 2021-22 season in the form of an assist on a goal scored by Vincent Salice at the 11:44 mark of the third period.
Baker closed out the 2021-22 season with the Lancers, skating in the final seven regular season games and three playoff games before Omaha was eliminated in the second round of the 2022 Clark Cup Playoffs.

Within those points came his first goal in the league coming on October 28th, 2022 in a 4-1 victory over the Lincoln Stars at Liberty First Credit Union Arena. Baker appeared in 47 games on the season and was +2 on the year.
The Lancers wish Luke the best of luck in Green Bay and in his future in hockey!
