BISMARCK, N.D. December 21, 2008: Two free throws with .31 seconds left in the game gave the Wizards team a sealed victory over the Reno BigHorns 111-101, as well as giving guard Maurice Baker an early Christmas present, one that he had been working on for a few years. Baker in his fifth year with the Wizards surpassed former guard and current Assistant coach Kevin Rice for the Wizards All-Time regular season scoring record with a total of 2071 points. He finished with his second straight double double 19 points and 11 boards.

"This feels good", said Maurice Baker following the game, with the game ball still in his hands. "I am not much for records, don't really follow them, but it means a lot to me that I could get this one at home in front of our fans."

The Wizards, now 5-5 on the year have turned it around as of late winning their last four games adding an offensive boost tonight in guard Bake Ahearn who was recently released from the San Antonio Spurs before starting for the purple and white this evening. Last years D-League rookie of the year started where he left off last season at the Civic Center going 6-10 from the arch, finishing the victory with a game high 33 points and eight assists.

"Guys are starting to play together", said Wizards head coach Duane Ticknor. "It's nice to have Blake back as well as to see a veteran like Moe get some well deserved recognition. All and all the guys played well, but we still have to take care of the ball."

Reno falls to 1-8 on the season and went on a fourth quarter run down 21 points at the 7:26 mark and got as close as four points with the help of former Jayhawk guard Russell Robinson who had 11 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter to get the BigHorns to 103-99. Former Skyforce duo from the 06-07 season, forwards Damone Brown and Antonio Meeking both played well with Meeking grabbing a double double (17 points 12 rebounds) and Brown with a team high 19 points.

The Wizards, who will face the LA D-Fenders Monday night in a makeup game from Saturday's winter storm, had three other players in double figures with forward Will Frisby leading the way with 15 points, while forward Quemont Greer nailed 11 points and guard David Bell finished with 10 points off the bench.

Reno travels to Fort Wayne on Tuesday for a match up with the Mad Ants while the Wizards stay at home for a game with LA, tip-off slated for 7:00 pm CT. You can watch that game and all Wizards home and road games for free by logging on to www.dakotawizards.com and clicking on the Futurecast.
