Dayton Dragons News Release
Dayton, OH - LHP Omar Segovia has been transferred from the GCL Reds and has been added to the Dragons 25 man roster. Segovia appeared in six games with the GCL Reds in 2005, his first action since Tommy John surgery put an end to his 2004 season. Segovia appeared in 10 games with the Dragons in 2004, posting a 1-0 record and a 3.19 ERA in 36.2 innings of work. A spot for the left hander opened with the transfer of LHP Philippe Valiquette to the Billings Mustangs of the Pioneer League. Valiquette, one of the youngest players in the MWL in 2004 at 18 years, one month and 25 days on opening day, appeared in 19 games with Dayton starting 16. The left hander was 2-5 with a 6.30 ERA in 64.1 innings of work. The Dragons roster stands at 25 players.
