Midland RockHounds News Release
The RockHounds have won 7-of-their-last 8, with four of those wins in extra innings ... six decided by one run and another decided by two (the only blowout was a 10-1 win at San Antonio).
The 'Hounds swept a 4-game set at San Antonio, then took 2-of-3 from the division leading RoughRiders. Just 21 regular season home games remain for the RockHounds as they start an 8-game stretch on Friday night at Citibank Ballpark. The Corpus Christi Hooks (AA affiliate of the Houston Astros) return for a 4-day, 5-game series, followed by the Frisco RoughRiders (Texas Rangers' AA club) for a 3-gamer.
The Thursday (July 23rd) rainout between the RockHounds and Corpus Christi will be made up Saturday (August 1) as part of a double header. The RockHounds and Hooks will play two, 7-inning games beginning at 5:30, with fireworks following the second game.
