Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the Ottawa Senators and the American Hockey League, announced today that the club's January 22nd game against the St. John's Maple Leafs will be played at the Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. The contest had originally been scheduled to take place at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.

It marks the third consecutive year the Binghamton Senators will play a regular season game at the home of their National Hockey League affiliate.

"With Ottawa only a 4-hour drive from Binghamton, we believe it's important to continue ‘branding' the B-Sens directly in Ottawa's market," said Tom Mitchell, the Binghamton Senators executive vice-president of operations. "The AHL provides a different product than the NHL and major junior teams and we believe it's also an exciting one that hockey fans enjoy."

"As always, the Binghamton Senators primary concern is with our season ticket holders and our organization promises to be as flexible as possible in offering various options for allowing our fans to see the B-Sens in Ottawa and for those that cannot make the trip," said Mitchell.

Season ticket holders and those already having purchased a ticket to the January 22nd game have the following exchange or refund options:

Tickets for the January 22nd game may be exchanged at the B-Sens executive office for tickets to the game in Ottawa.

The January 22nd ticket may be exchanged for a ticket to any other 2004-2005 regular season Binghamton Senators home game.

Exchange of January 22nd game ticket for merchandise gift certificate of comparable dollar value.

The ticket holder can receive a full refund of the purchase price of the January 22nd ticket.

Customers holding coupon books may also exchange coupons for tickets to the game in Ottawa. All exchange or refund options can be done through the Binghamton Senators executive office, located on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and through the second intermission on game nights.

Those wishing to purchase tickets to the game in Ottawa can do so beginning Monday, December 20th at noon on-line at www.CapitalTickets.ca, or by calling 599-FANS and 1-877-788-FANS. Tickets will not be available for purchase through the Binghamton Senators Hockey Club or its usual ticket outlets in the Southern Tier.
