Aztex Team up with Univision Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (Tuesday, April 28, 2015) - The Austin Aztex announced they have formed a media partnership with Univision Austin. With the new agreement, Univision Austin will serve as the exclusive Spanish-Language media partner of the Austin Aztex for 2015.

"We have been building a strong partnership with Univision Austin since we formed in 2012," said Aztex CEO Rene van de Zande. "Univision Austin has been a big supporter of our club since the beginning and we look forward to taking this next step together."

On a local level, the Hispanic demographic in the city of Austin has experienced steady growth in recent years. There are 667,123 Hispanics out of a total population of 2,029,312, which accounts for 33% of the total population. From 2001-2014 the Austin Hispanic population grew 94%.*

Representing Austin's professional soccer, the Aztex look forward to work alongside Univision Austin in a game-changing partnership aimed at bringing the city of Austin together. This new agreement will give the Aztex an opportunity to tap into the Hispanic market by leveraging Univision Austin's expertise and ability to effectively reach this unique audience in an unprecedented manner for the club.
