Louisville City Kicks off Partnership with Papa Johns

Louisville City FC announced today the club has partnered with locally-based Papa John's International.

Founded by Kentuckiana native John Schnatter, Papa John's will become the club's official pizza provider and presenting sponsor of Louisville City's pre-game warm-up.

Headquartered in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, Papa John's is one of the largest pizza providers in the world with over 4,600 establishments in 36 different countries around the world. Through this partnership, Lou City fans will be able to celebrate the club's on-field success with 50% off pizza the day following a game when City FC scores two goals or more in a match.

"We're excited to begin our partnership with the local soccer heroes at Louisville City FC," said Papa John, founder, president & CEO of Papa John's International. "Getting in on the ground floor, bolstering local support within our proud, sporting community with great pizza and watching this team flourish will be an experience we're proud to be a part of."

Per Club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Papa John's International was founded in 1984 and becomes another significant corporate partner of Louisville City FC.

Louisville City FC is a professional soccer team founded in 2014 and will begin its first season in USL in March, 2015. The United Soccer League was founded in 2010 and has expanded to 24 teams for the 2015 season. Louisville City FC will play all home matches at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville.
