Aviators win 4-3 to take series at San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Coastal Bend Aviators defeated the San Angelo Colts 4-3 Wednesday night. The win gave the Aviators a 2-1 win in the three-game series.

With the score tied 3-3 in the top of the ninth Jack Joffrion led off with a single. Joffrion then stole second base. Chris Judkins hit a RBI single scoring Joffrion from second base giving the Aviators 4-3.

Mike Guerrero drove in two of the first three runs on a ground out and single in the first and third innings. The Aviators added a run in the first when Carlos Figueroa scored on a error.

Alex Dutka started the game and took a no-hitter into the sixth inning before giving up three runs in the inning. Brandon Pello (1-0) picked up the win in relief for the Aviators. Shawn Morgan pitched a perfect ninth inning for his second save. Luis Ramirez (0-1) took the loss for San Angelo.

The Aviators continue the road trip with a four-game series at El Paso 8:05 Central Time. The Aviators return home on May 31st to take on Pensacola in a three-game series.
