
Austin Spurs to Host Back-To-Back Theme Nights February 19-20

AUSTIN, TX - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, will host back-to-back theme nights for their games against the Oklahoma City Blue on Feb. 19 and 20 at Cedar Park Center. The team will host Cedar Park Night on Friday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. followed by Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
Friday night will be a celebration of Cedar Park and its thriving community. The day's game, sponsored by Texas Orthopedics Sports and Rehabilitation Associates, welcomes all Cedar Park residents to come out for an exciting night. Fans can enjoy Fantastic Friday with $3 soda, $3 beer and $4 wine courtesy of 96.3 RnB.
On Saturday, Feb. 20, the team will host Military Appreciation Night presented by Operation Supply Drop and 93.7 KLBJ to honor the brave men and women who serve and protect our country. Complimentary tickets will be available for all active, reserve and retired military personnel at the Cedar Park Center box office with valid identification. In addition, military that dine at Svante's Stuffed Burgers in Round Rock can pick up their complimentary tickets there and receive a 10 percent meal discount Monday, Feb. 15 through Thursday, Feb. 18.
The team will wear special military-themed camo jerseys to honor the military. A postgame auction of the player jerseys and the team's popular Toss for a Cause will see all proceeds raised donated to Operation Supply Drop, a non-profit whose mission is to support military by sending care packages and organizing celebratory events for soldiers overseas or recovering in military hospitals.
Operation Supply Drop will host a video game donation drive before the game, where anyone who brings in a new or used video game or video game console will receive a free ticket to the Austin Spurs game that night.
The Austin Spurs will also be welcoming a court-sized American flag to the SWBC court for a special National Anthem with Fort Hood's Color Guard. Fort Hood's family housing children's choir will be preforming "God Bless the USA" pregame as well.
