Austin Spurs to Hold Open Tryouts on September 10

AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs today announced that the team will hold open tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Round Rock Sports Center (2400 Chisholm Trail, Round Rock, TX 78681). Check-in will begin at 9 a.m., and the tryouts will take place from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

Tryouts are limited to the first 180 people who register and submit their payment. Pre-payment is $175 online with a credit or debit card, and day-of payment is $200 with cash only. COVID-19 vaccinations are strongly recommended but not required.

Open tryouts provide players an opportunity to showcase their skills for the chance to earn an invitation to the Austin Spurs training camp in October. Tryout participants who have made Austin's roster in the past include Jayvon Graves (2021), Nate Renfro (2020), Tevin King (2019), Cameron Rundles (2018), Jordan Green and Daniel Alexander (2017), Jeff Ledbetter (2016), Devondrick Walker (2014), and Jonathon Simmons (2013).
