Austin Spurs to Hold Local Player Tryouts September 25

AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs today announced that they will hold local player tryouts on Saturday, Sept. 25 at St. Michael's Athletic Center (3000 Barton Creek Blvd, Austin, TX 78735). Check-in will begin at 8 a.m., and the tryouts will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Local player tryouts provide players an opportunity to showcase their skills for the chance to earn an invitation to the Austin Spurs' training camp in October. Local tryout participants who have made Austin's roster include Nate Renfro (2021), Tevin King (2019), Cameron Rundles (2018), Jordan Green and Daniel Alexander (2017), Jeff Ledbetter (2016), Devondrick Walker (2014), and Jonathon Simmons (2013).

Tryouts are limited to the first 150 people who register prior to Sept. 22. Pre-payment is $175 online with a credit or debit card, and day-of payment is $200 with cash, a cashier's check or money order.

Anyone who would like to tryout must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend. Photos of vaccination cards must be submitted online when registering prior to Sept. 22.
