Austin Spurs Partner with Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, will partner with Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation to help raise awareness about colon health on Sunday, Feb. 11 when the team takes on the Iowa Wolves at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Austin Spurs players will wear dark blue laces during the game, the color associated with colon cancer awareness.

Prior to the Spurs-Wolves contest, Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation, Kickfest and Get In The Van will host the inaugural ATX Sneaker Jam starting at 12:30 p.m. Shoe vendors will have the opportunity to set up shop inside the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park to buy, sell, trade and showcase their collection of sneakers. Fans can purchase one ticket for both events. A portion of the sale from tickets purchased using the link tinyurl.com/ATXSneakerJam will be donated to Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation.

About Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation: The Kiel Colon Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to decrease the number of preventable deaths caused by colon cancer through education and awareness initiatives. KCCF places a great emphasis on the prevention of colon cancer by sparking the conversation about its behavioral risk factors to young adults (ages 18-35). The organization was co-founded in January of 2015 by George and LaTashia Kiel.
