Austin FC News Release
Austin, TEXAS - Austin FC unveiled on Tuesday the brand, dates, and participating teams for El Arbolito Cup presented by Visible, the Club's new U12 academy tournament. Set to take place from December 10 to 12 at St. David's Performance Center, U12 teams from ATXFC and six (6) other Major League Soccer academies will compete in Austin, including Atlanta United FC, Colorado Rapids, Houston Dynamo FC, New York Red Bulls, Inter Miami CF (two teams) and the LA Galaxy.
"In addition to providing a platform for top youth players to develop and learn, the Austin FC Academy also works hard to offer elite competitive opportunities for young players nationwide," said Austin FC Academy Director Tyson Wahl. "We hope all the players and coaches who attend will gain valuable experience on and off the field which they can take with them."
The 9v9 tournament will see each team play four matches across three days, with a champion crowned on Sunday, December 12. Off the field, three virtual coaching education sessions led by MLS club academy staff in partnership with the South Texas Soccer Association will take place the week of the tournament.
More information on the tournament's schedule of matches and events will be released prior to its start on December 10.
