Austin Bruins News Release
Austin, Minn. - The Austin Bruins and the North American Hockey League have announced the 2019-20 schedule on Tuesday.
The Bruins will open their season on September 18 in Blaine with the NAHL's Showcase. Four games in four days against non-divisional opponents give the Bruins to play teams they normally wouldn't have the chance to play against during the regular season. As for their divisional-schedule, Austin opens with four straight against the defending NAHL Champion Aberdeen Wings, two on the road and two at home. Up first, the Bruins will get to watch the Wings raise their championship banner on September 27 with a follow-up game the next night.
Austin's first home games at Riverside Arena come on October 4 and 5 where they finish out the four-straight against the Aberdeen Wings. Other notable games include the annual Healthy Habits game presented by McDonald's and Potach and Mitchell Dental Clinic on October 23 against the Wilderness, Military Appreciation Night on November 15, Paint the Rink Pink on February 8, and Pacelli Night on March 14.
The first two games of December come on the road where the Bruins will play the St. Cloud Blizzard, their first games against the newly relocated team formerly of Brookings, SD.
