
Austin Aces Add Ukrainian Elina Svitolina to Lineup

AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 27, 2015) - The Austin Aces have officially announced that they have acquired the rights to current world no. 20 women's singles player Elina Svitolina. Svitolina is set to make her Austin Aces and Mylan World TeamTennis debut tonight as the Aces face off against the Aviators in San Diego.
Svitolina, who was born and raised in Ukraine, is scheduled to play all remaining regular season and postseason matches for the Aces this season. After an outstanding start to the 2015 season, Svitolina was able to reach her first Grand Slam singles quarterfinal this June at the French Open. Svitolina has won four Women's Tennis Association (WTA) singles titles and three WTA doubles titles in her career.
The 20 year old Svitolina is certain to help further strengthen the Aces lineup that has amassed a League best 9-2 record and that has clinched a Western Conference playoff spot. The Aces will return home to the Gregory Gym tomorrow to face the defending Mylan WTT Champions, the Washington Kastles at 7:00 pm.
