First up was mixed doubles. Alla Kudryavtseva and Teymuraz Gabashvili of the Aces took on Anabel Medina Garrigues and Neal Skupski of the Dream. The only games the Dream won was on Skupski's serve. Gabashvili and Kudryavtseva won it for the Aces, 5-2.
Next was women's doubles. Kudryavtseva and Elina Svitonlina from the Aces took on Anabel Medina Garrigues and Jarka Gajdosova from the Dream. There were long rallies but Svitolina's accuracy and Kudryavtseva's doubles energy helped the ladies win 5-3. The Aces are up 10-5.
The third set was men's doubles, with Gabashvili and Jarmere Jenkins of the Aces fighting against Skupski and Tennys Sandgren of the Dream. Jenkins hit many nice forehands, as did Skupski, which lead the set into a tiebreaker. The Aces pulled through, winning the tiebreaker and the set, 5-4. The California Dream was down 9-15 after three sets.
