Augusta Shuts Down Rome 10-2

Rome, GA - The Braves and GreenJackets met Saturday night at State Mutual Stadium in game three of a five game series with Augusta getting the upper hand 10-2 before 3, 565 fans. The game was delayed 46 minutes due to rain.

The GreenJackets posted single runs in the first and second innings grabbing a 2-0 lead. The fourth inning saw four runs cross the plate for Augusta on a bases loaded walk, a wild pitch that scored the second run, and a two run single by Skyler Ewing giving the GreenJackets a 6-0 advantage. Dylan Davis (1) cracked a solo home run in the fifth and the GreenJackets added a run in the seventh and two in the ninth for the 10-0 score. The Braves scored two runs in the ninth on Joseph Daris' RBI double and Ozzie Albies' run scoring single.
