Augusta, Georgia Joins AIFL for 2006

The AIFL have announced that Augusta, GA will host a team for the 2006 Season. At a press conference held at the Civic Center Andrew Haines League President and Gary Tufford the Executive Director of the AIFL laid out the plan for Team. "The Augusta Spartans are the newest member of our League and we are extremely proud to bring the AIFL to the City" beamed Haines.

Sporting the colors of Gold and Red the Spartans will play a fourteen game schedule with seven home games being played in the Civic Center in downtown Augusta. This makes three teams located in Georgia. The other two being the Rome Renegades and the Chattahoochee Valley (Columbus) Vipers.
