RECORD: The Lake Monsters are 23-23 after a 14-7 win at Auburn on Wednesday ... Vermont has won 4 of last 7 games after season-high 5-game losing streak ... The Lake Monsters are 4-8 since being a season-high 4 games over .500 (19-15) ... GRAND SLAM: J.R. Higley's grand slam in the 3rd inning on Thursday was Vermont's 1st since Garrett Bass hit a grand-slam in Lake Monsters 4-3 win over State College July 8, 2007 ... It was also the 9th grand slam for Vermont in its 16 years.

10 STRAIGHT: Francisco Soriano was 3-for-5 Wednesday to extend current hitting streak to a team-high 10 straight games ... Soriano is hitting .400 (16x40) during 10-game hit streak to raise average from .268 to .323 ... Before the hitting streak, Soriano had gone just 6-for-33 (.182) in his previous 13 starts.
