Hillsboro, OR - A fastball that skipped passed Hillsboro catcher Luke Lowery in the top of the 7th inning allowed Canadians SS Yeltsin Gudino to scoot home giving Vancouver a 6-5 come from behind victory over the Hops on Sunday afternoon.

The Canadians led by three early as Vancouver got to Hops starter RHP Bo Takahashi in the top of the 3rd inning. DH J.B. Woodman hit his team-leading 18th double of the summer scoring 1B Christian Williams who finished the afternoon 1-for-2 with a pair of walks and a run scored.

Hillsboro would pull to within a lone run before Vancouver pushed back in the top of the 6th inning with 2B Cavan Biggio grabbing a base hit to left field that scored Woodman (single) giving the Canadians a 4-2 lead.

Hillsboro persisted and once the Vancouver bullpen door swung open, took advantage of LHP Evan Smith who in his lone inning on the mound, allowed a trio of runs that featured a two-run double off the bat of Ben DeLuzio that scored both Stephen Dezzi and Manny Jefferson to tie the game at four. DeLuzio would steal third base and score seconds later on a sacrifice fly from Adam Walton to give the Hops a 5-4 lead.

Hillsboro reliever Colin Poche opened up the top of the 7th inning with a pair of walks that came back to bite him as Canadians OF Rodrigo Orozco singled home Christian Williams and that was followed by a passed ball that allowed Yeltsin Gudino to score, giving the Canadians a 6-5 lead that they wouldn't let slip away for a second straight victory over Hillsboro.
