Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack are looking to add talent tomorrow as they're scheduled to pick 28th overall in Tuesday's CHL Import Draft.
The Attack hold the 28th and 88th overall selections in the annual talent infusion, but the team will only be using their first selection as forward Stepan Machacek is returning to the Scenic City for a second season.
Attack General Manager Dale DeGray says that while the team has the 28th selection, they will likely be picking sooner. "I can count a handful of teams ahead of us that already look set with two imports on their roster for next season, so our pick should be a bit ahead of schedule."
DeGray isn't going to reveal who he wants, but says: "We've got three guys who we've keyed in on and are hoping are available for us when our pick comes around."
The GM went more in-depth during an interview with Fred Wallace on 560 CFOS, available here.
This year's selection is set for Tuesday June 30th starting at 11:00am, with pick-by-pick coverage at both chl.ca and ontariohockeyleague.com. Coverage will also be available on social media at @AttackOHL.
