Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack will look for some good fortunes on the road this weekend when they square off against Sudbury on Friday evening before travelling to Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday and then Saginaw on Sunday afternoon.
The Attack are 1-0 against all three teams this season having defeated the Spirit 5-2, Sudbury 3-1, and Sault Ste. Marie 7-5, all on home ice. Defenseman Jacob Middleton is close to returning after practicing all week and could very well make his return to the line-up during the road trip.
Two out of three seems to be the theme for the Attack lately as they have gathered at least four out of six points in three game weeks, over the last five weeks. The Attack's consistent play sees them 3rd in the Western Conference, however; they are second in the OHL with 39 points through 26 games. Jordan Binnington's shutout streak came to an end last Saturday, but the Gravenhurst resident sits first amongst qualified OHL goaltenders in GAA (2.12), Save Percentage (.935), T-1st in Shutouts with three and second in wins with fourteen.
Daniel Catenacci sits 8th in OHL scoring with 38 points while Cameron Brace sits 19th with 32 points and Gemel Smith at 23rd with 29 points. Cameron Brace leads the OHL with seven game winning goals while Nathan Chiarlitti is second in the OHL with a +27 rating and is one of five Attack players in the top twenty.
Game time on Friday evening is 7:30pm while Saturday evening the action gets underway at 7:00pm. Both games can be seen live on Rogers TV or heard live on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio.
Sunday afternoon's game at 4:00pm in Saginaw will not be televised and will not be broadcast on 560 CFOS in order to accommodate the annual Christmas Fund Broadcast. However; the game will be broadcasted on 98 The Beach or can be heard live on the internet by clicking on the Bear Radio link on any Bayshore Broadcasting station website.
