Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League is pleased to announce the signing of three rookies to OHL player contracts.
The Attack has signed 2009 draft picks Jordon Binnington and Jack Kuzmyk, along with 2008 selection Daniel Zweep.
Binnington spent the 2008/2009 season playing the Vaughan Minor Midget AAA squad and was considered to be the backbone of their team. Although Minor Midget Stats are unavailable for Binnington, he did play one game for the Dixie Beehives of the OPJHL where he stopped 36 shots in a 3-2 loss.
Kuzmyk, a 6'01, 200lb blueliner registered 8 goals, 23 assists and 31 PIMS in 52 games played. He is considered to be a hard nosed, no-nonsense stay at home blueliner.
Rounding out the signings is Daniel Zweep, a 5th round selection in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection. The 6'04, 230lb winger spent last season with the Newmarket Hurricanes of the OPJHL.
