Atlético Ottawa made its maiden visit to Clarke Stadium on a chilly Tuesday night where it squared off against FC Edmonton for the first time since both teams left the bubble. And a fruitful trip it was, as Ottawa scored four goals, three from open play, and secured an important 4-3 win on the road.

MATCH NOTES

Atlético Ottawa spent most of the first half on the front foot after grabbing an early lead off a kick from the penalty spot, awarded for a foul in the box on Vashon Neufville, and a kick converted by Brian Wright (5'). FC Edmonton would level things off in the 17th minute, but Ottawa closed out the first 45-minutes with a wonderful combination play between Ben McKendry, Miguel Acosta and Brian Wright, Wright converting from open play (39') to get himself a first-half brace (WATCH), and his side a 2-1 lead going into the break.

Ottawa came out of halftime with a bang, seeing both Ben McKendry (WATCH) and Alberto Soto (WATCH) each curl a shot in the top corner, beating the Eddies keeper and giving Atlético Ottawa a 4-1 lead 57 minutes in.

Ottawa would concede two more goals to FC Edmonton but safe-guard the win nonetheless.

In what turned out to be an offensive-forward affair, Atlético Ottawa scored 4 goals in a match for the first time in franchise history.

TO COME THIS WEEK

Atlético Ottawa will play once more on the road before returning home, this time at Tim Hortons Field against Forge FC on Saturday afternoon (KO 3:30PM ET).

Atlético Ottawa's next home match will come on Wednesday, October 20 for Cricket's Big Night (details to follow).
